DownTheTubes is an experimental Tube Map application for the Nokia N900, which is an exercise in testing out the development environment for the Maemo 5 platform.

It currently displays a map and some rudimentary tube status information (the colours down the left-hand side.)

DownTheTubes was originally written in Python using GTK.  For performance reasons, it’s now being rewritten in Qt 4.6 and C++.

Future possibilities include mapping and routing, though no promises!
